TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to VanCity Crew Mail. By accessing our website, creating an account, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
 

1. ABOUT VANCITY CREW MAIL

VanCity Crew Mail provides package receiving, storage, and forwarding services for cruise ship crew members and other eligible customers. Our services are designed to help customers receive packages in Vancouver and arrange delivery to ships and ports.
 

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to use our services.

By creating an account, you represent that all information provided is accurate, current, and complete.
 

3. ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITIES

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate account information.

  • Providing a valid email address and contact information.

  • Keeping your login credentials secure.

  • Ensuring packages are addressed correctly using your assigned VanCity Crew Mail address.
     

VanCity Crew Mail is not responsible for delays, losses, or delivery issues resulting from incorrect customer information.
 

4. PACKAGE RECEIVING SERVICES

Customers may ship packages to their assigned VanCity Crew Mail address for receiving and processing.

Customers agree that:

  • All packages must comply with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Packages may be inspected externally for identification and processing purposes.

  • Certain restricted, prohibited, dangerous, or illegal items will not be accepted.

VanCity Crew Mail reserves the right to refuse, return, dispose of, or report any package that violates applicable laws or these Terms.
 

5. FORWARDING AND DELIVERY SERVICES

Once a package is received, customers may request forwarding or delivery through their account.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Factors outside our control may affect delivery, including:

  • Port security requirements

  • Customs inspections

  • Ship itinerary changes

  • Weather conditions

  • Transportation disruptions

  • Cruise line policies
     

VanCity Crew Mail will make reasonable efforts to complete deliveries but cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date or time.
 

6. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR SHIP DELIVERIES

Customers are responsible for providing accurate:

  • Ship name

  • Sailing information

  • Crew identification information

  • Port details

  • Delivery instructions
     

VanCity Crew Mail is not responsible for failed deliveries caused by inaccurate or incomplete information.
 

7. FEES AND PAYMENT

All service fees are displayed on our website and may be updated from time to time.

Payment is required in cash before the package is handed over to the crew member.

VanCity Crew Mail reserves the right to refuse service for unpaid balances.
 

8. STORAGE

Packages may be stored for a limited period following receipt.

Packages not claimed, forwarded, or otherwise arranged within the storage period may be subject to additional storage fees.

Packages abandoned for an extended period may be returned to sender, donated, disposed of, or otherwise handled at VanCity Crew Mail's discretion.
 

9. PROHIBITED ITEMS

Customers may not ship or request forwarding of:

  • Illegal items

  • Controlled substances

  • Weapons or ammunition

  • Explosives

  • Hazardous materials

  • Counterfeit goods

  • Stolen property

  • Any item prohibited by law, carrier policies, or port regulations
     

VanCity Crew Mail reserves the right to refuse any shipment that presents safety, legal, or operational concerns.
 

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VanCity Crew Mail shall not be liable for:

  • Delayed deliveries

  • Missed deliveries

  • Customs delays

  • Ship itinerary changes

  • Port access restrictions

  • Lost profits

  • Indirect or consequential damages
     

In any event, VanCity Crew Mail's maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
 

11. INSURANCE

Customers are responsible for obtaining insurance coverage for valuable items if desired. Unless specifically stated otherwise, VanCity Crew Mail does not provide package insurance.
 

12. WEBSITE USE

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes

  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems

  • Interfere with website functionality

  • Submit false or misleading information
     

VanCity Crew Mail reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
 

13. PRIVACY

Information collected through our website and services is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in that policy.
 

14. TERMINATION

VanCity Crew Mail may suspend or terminate access to its services at any time for violations of these Terms, fraud, misuse of services, or other legitimate business reasons.
 

15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

VanCity Crew Mail may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of our services following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
 

16. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
